Today's recommendation is a book called "Unbeaten Tracks in Japan" by Isabella Bird. Many with an interest in Hokkaido or Japan might have read it, for those who have not yet, here is a short introduction.

Last night Chris Nelson, author of the upcoming book Cold Water Souls, and photographer Richie Hopson arrived here in Hokkaido.

Starting a new company is hard work. Starting a new company for the first time, where half the team is in a foreign country, using their second language, is extremely hard work! Needless to say, the last year has been extremely busy for us here at konnichiwa-japan.
