もっと素敵な北海道を目指して奔走中です。
大学を卒業後、営業職に就くが、北海道経済を考えるべくもう一度大学へ戻りました。

Sometimes I really ask myself: How did it it happen that I joined this company in January 2009? Seen from Europe, Japan already is a very remote place not only by distance but also culturewise. Then again, for many Japanese people in Tokyo or elsewhere Hokkaido is quite far away. However I feel right now that this place here is very close to my idea of a place to develop myself personally and career wise. For me Hokkaido consists of great untouched nature, lots of interesting ideas, people and business opportunities (I also have to admit I grew up in a rural area and therefore just dont like metropolitan areas crammed with people). Distance should not really be a problem if you find a place you like. As one of this company's mottos is "Connecting Cultures" I'm sure I'm at the right place to use my skills to help making this idea true. I think also my experience which I have from studying in Germany and England will help me achieving this, but most important are the people who I met and made it possible that I am here now. So, thank you and yoroshiku onegaishimasu
Season Lao
(Season is currently studying at the Macau Polytechnic Institute and working with us on a part time basis over the internet. We are looking forward to having him join us full time after he graduates this summer!)
I am a multimedia designer and photographer, born in Macau. I was in charge of graphic design, webpage design and movie making for the Macau government, University and commercial organizations, and I have also worked as a visual merchandising designer for Louis Vuitton, helping them to design VIP products and souvenirs.
Meanwhile, I have been a freelance photographer since the age of 20, and I was sponsored to go to Europe and the United States for photography work. After
I came back to China, I held my first personal exhibition. Looking at my exhibits, I realized that what I am enjoying is the creative source from nature and “cultural fusion”.
Because I experienced the rapid economic development of Macau, I find myself yearning for simple and friendly lifestyles. So, based on this idea, I made a documentary and photo book - Páteo do Mungo, published in three languages (Chinese, English and Portuguese), which have been exhibited in a number of countries and regions. Please visit my portfolio site for more information on this project.
In 2009, when I applied as a trainee designer at KJ during my internship, I found it’s really magic! Here is my ideal working place since I’ve been looking for many years! Friendly colleagues, natural and wonderful Hokkaido are all here. I always bring my camera to the Company because different natural scenery is waiting for me everyday in Hokkaido. I also admire everyone in KJ. There is an adage in China “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”.
The members of KJ come from America, Asia and Europe, they have ability and talent, they are young and full of energy. They are striving for the same purpose, they love Hokkaido and design. So, it’s really my great honor to work with everyone at konnichiwa-japan!
