こじま です。

After a tough week of coldness and rain (the summer just started 2 weeks ago!), it's finally getting a little warmer again. As I heard there is not much time for enjoying Hokkaido's summer, as the season seems to be very short (around 2 months in total). But as I feel for these two months in Hokkaido, they belong to the collection album of "my life's best summer spots".

I have a new recommendation for your visit to Date!
This time I introduce "Nakayoshi" ("Best friends"), a little Soba noodle shop near Kogane (that's when you drive on Route 37 from Date in direction to Muroran -> See Google Map). They serve you hand-made Soba, a type of thin Japanese noodles made from buckwheat flour.
I had the "Yasai Ten-soba" (vegetable Tempura with Soba) for around 1000 Yen, and it was delicious! Because this shop is very popular among locals from Date and Kogane, the soba often runs out by around 1 o'clock lunch time. I therefore strongly recommend to come early!

I'm a soba lover!
Wow! It seems like a rare spot!
I like soba and often go to a chain store "shinshu-soba" near by. I visited there last night as soon as came back from business trip. Soba is easy to eat and less fat, so I never fed with it. I often cook soba also because of its easiness. It often makes me want to eat very much when constantly drinking and eating too much.
